The Quasar 500 Rules

- No intentional physical contact.
This means that a player:
- Cannot intentionally hit another player with themselves or with their gun.
- Cannot intentionally push another player.
- Cannot intentionally lean on or support themselves against another player.
- No climbing on or over; jumping on or over; vaulting on or off the obstacles in the Arena.
- Players must hold the gun with both hands and by the handles provided on the gun.
- No intentional covering beyond the use of the cover present in the Arena.
This means that a player:
- Cannot assume a position where it is not possible to hit the packs or the gun of their equipment.
- Cannot use any part of their anatomy to cover their packs or gun, including doubling over at the waist.
- No cradling, blocking, or moving in a dodge position.
This means that a player:
- When dueling cannot assume a cradle position.
- When moving from point A to B in the Arena must have all their equipment sensors showing.
- Can, when moving from point A to B in the Arena, assume a stooped or crouched position but NOT a dodge position.
- No player by his/her actions should cause a hazard to him/herself or another player.
This means that a player:
- Cannot lie down in or on any part of the Arena.
- Cannot intentionally trip another player.
- Cannot manoeuvre themselves in such a fashion as to cause a hazard to themselves or another player, including doubling at the waist.
- No player by his/her actions should intentionally obstruct an opposing players shot.
This means that a player:
- Cannot, when they have been deactivated or have lost all their lives, intentionally block another player's shot.
- Cannot, whether their equipment is active or not, intentionally block a shot at the headquarters.
- No player by his/her actions should intentionally obstruct an opposing players progress through the Arena.
This means that a player:
- Except when dueling, should make every reasonable effort to allow another player to pass.
- When dueling should make every reasonable effort to allow the player that they are dueling to move past or around them.
- Can never intentionally block a player from entering or exiting the headquarters.
- No player is allowed to leave the Arena during the course of play unless requested to do so by a marshal.
This means that a player:
- When injured or unable to continue play should get a marshal to escort them from the Arena.
- When in need of a gun change should go to an energizer, download their gun, get the energizer marshal to key their gun, and then get escorted to the gun change marshal.
- No gun keys or universal remotes are allowed to be brought in to the Arena.
This means that ONLY a marshal can bring a gun key into the Arena and that NOBODY can bring a universal remote into the Arena.
- THE PENALTY FOR BREAKING THIS RULE IS INSTANT DISQUALIFICATION
- Players must always try to conduct themselves in a sporting fashion.
This means that a player:
- Must not verbally abuse or threaten the marshals.
- Must not verbally abuse or threaten other players.
- Must try to play their games of Quasar in a true spirit of fair play.
- The marshal's decision must be complied with.
This means that a player:
- Who thinks a marshal is being unfair is allowed to get the opinion of a second marshal before complying with the decision.
- Who has a problem with the choices of marshals for any of their matches must get their team captain to approach the organisers before the match commences.
